She Who Welcomes is a celebration of shared womanhood and the quiet power of connection. Composed of three individual figures formed from white porcelain, terracotta, and deep brown clay, each sculpture carries its own form, texture, cracks, and story while standing together as one.
Though each figure stands independently, together they reflect the strength found in female community and the profound relationships women build through mutual understanding, vulnerability, and care. Each woman gently holds a flower, symbolic of tenderness offered freely to one another and the ways we help each other grow through life's most challenging seasons.
The delicate fractures throughout the work are intentionally preserved and accented with 22k gold, honoring hardship not as something to hide, but as evidence of resilience, survival, and emotional depth. The piece celebrates the understanding that our differences do not separate us. Rather, they enrich the collective story we share.
Inspired by the meaningful friendships forged later in life, She Who Gathers honors the women who make space for one another to heal, belong, and become more fully themselves. It is a reflection on togetherness, not as perfection, but as a form of collective healing.
