It's that time of year again: Breast Cancer Awareness Month is here and that means we are bringing back our KT Mugs! This meaningful piece is named after a dear friend of mine who struggled with breast cancer like so many women before her.
Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer, and early detection and treatment significantly improve the chances of successful outcomes. Breast Cancer Awareness Month plays a crucial role in raising awareness, dispelling myths, and encouraging people to take proactive steps to monitor their breast health.
In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we will be donating a percentage of sales to the local nonprofit, Knitted Knockers. This local charity provides soft, comfortable knitted prosthetics to women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. We are thrilled to be contributing to this cause.
This year we will be adding a new design option to our collection! We will be offering a beautiful maternity option that you may have seen a sneak peak of in my pregnancy announcement! I will also be taking custom orders. So if you are looking for a mug to honor a mastectomy, single or double, I am happy to create something beautiful for you. To add that extra special touch, monogramming will also be offered.
Cancer, specifically breast cancer, has touched so many of our lives. I am happy to do something to help fight it. To help turn something so ugly, into something that celebrates the female form in such a unique way. I mean, who doesn't want a beautiful pair of boobies on their coffee mug in the morning?
